Volcan Valley Apple Farm is a family orchard in Julian, California, operated by CL Farm Mgmt LLC. We collect as little as we can, we use it to answer you and to run the farm, and we do not sell it. This page says exactly what that means.
If you call our phone line and choose to leave a voicemail, you hear this before the beep:
If your number can receive texts, Volcan Valley Apple Farm may send you one text message with the answer, as well as calling you back. Message and data rates may apply, reply STOP to opt out, and we never use your number for marketing.
Leaving a message after hearing that is how you opt in. If you would rather not be texted, hang up without leaving a message and call back during our open hours, or email us instead.
Message frequency: we send at most one text in reply to a voicemail you left. This is not a recurring programme, we do not send campaigns or promotions by text, and we will not text you again unless you contact us again.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect anything else — we will still call you back.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your phone number is used to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not store it in our website’s records, we do not add it to any list, and we do not sell it.
Only the services that make the farm work: our website host, our email provider, our telephone provider, and our payment processor. Each sees only what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use it for their own marketing. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, ever.
We will share information if the law genuinely requires it, and not otherwise.
Newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Messages and voicemail transcripts for as long as they are useful for answering you and understanding what visitors ask. Order records for as long as our accountant and the tax authorities require.
Write to us and ask. We will delete what we hold about you, other than records we are legally required to keep, and we will tell you which those are. You do not have to give a reason.
The farm is thoroughly kid-friendly; this website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
